Duopody Reflexology

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary therapy that uses gentle pressure on specific points along your feet. Every system and organ have been precisely mapped onto the feet to create an exact anatomical reflection of the body on the feet.  Reflexology works on all areas of the body, mind and organs through feet to bring about relaxation, ease stress and tension and help the body to balance into its natural healing process.

I specialise in Duopody Reflexology which treats both feet at the same time.

The technique uses ‘reflected anatomy’. Your treatment will be based on the newly developed PodyCharts by Annie Trigg and Sue Alma Evans where the bones of the body’s skeleton have been directly reflected onto the feet, using x-rays. Every system and organ have been precisely mapped onto the feet to create an exact anatomical reflection of the body on the feet.

The Benefits of Duopody Reflexology

Duopody Reflexology can help with many things, including:

  •  Stress

  •  Sleep problems

  •  Inflammation

  •  Pain management

  •  Anxiety

  •  Mood and general health

  •  Back pain

  •  Migraine and headaches

  •  Digestive issues

  •  Respiratory problems

  •  Menopausal symptoms

  •  Period pains

  •  Fertility and Pre-conception

During your Duopody session both feet will be treated at the same time. The pressure points on the feet are stimulated using a variety of techniques. Imbalances in the body can be reflected on the feet. The treatment will help the body activate its natural healing process. The treatments are very relaxing, they provide a space for deep relaxation, allowing the body time to relax rebalance and rejuvenate.

There are some contra-indications to reflexology which include infections on the feet like verruca (you can come once these have been treated and cleared-up), prominent varicose veins, DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) and unstable heart condition.

Disclaimer

What to expect

A warm, friendly welcome. A safe space to relax, rebalance and rejuvenate.

The first treatment will take up to 75 minutes. I will work through a health consultation that will help identify the areas that I will focus on during the treatment. All treatments will be adapted to treat your personal requirements. After the initial consultation treatments will usually be about an hour. Depending on your condition or needs, you may need shorter (half hour) more regular treatments or less frequent longer treatments (about an hour).

There is no obligation to complete a course of treatments, although regular sessions will help your wellbeing and aid the healing process.

During the treatment you may feel some slight discomfort in certain points on the feet, providing valuable information on where any imbalances in the body exist. I will always work within your comfort zone.
